ActiveSky does not connect to FS9

Featured Replies

Hi,I have followed and executed all the directions in the detailed FSwide setup post. ActiveSky installed smoothly on the remote computer as described and no error messages/discrepancies were encountered. When I start FS9 on the WideServer computer and start Wideclient on the remote computer both applications indicate connected. When I start ActiveSky (V6.5 Build 533) on the remote computer it continually displays "FS Disconnected" and no weather is uploaded into FS9. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,Sorry for the problem.Do you have FSUIPC.dll installed in your Modules folder in FS?Have you allowed Active Sky access across your network within firewalls? Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

I have FSUIPC.DLL installed in the modules folder. It is fully registered and Version 3.65As for firewall access, I have set an exception on my WideServer computer for port 8002. Other than that, I have the firewalls on both computers set to notify me if access is blocked. I have not blocked or received any access attempts from ActiveSky, and it is not listed specifically in my exceptions for either computer. I have not changed any advanced firewall settings for either computer. I am running Windows XP Pro 32bit on both computers.Current Exception Summary: WideServer Computer relevant listed exceptions:- Microsoft DirectPlay8 Server- Microsoft Flight Simulator- Port 8002 (UDP)WideClient Computer relevant listed exceptions:- FS Eliminator For FSUIPC Client Applications

I tried disabling the firewalls on both computers and was still not able to get ActiveSky to connect to FS9.

Updated to FSUIPC 3.72 and WideServer 6.71. Still no luck. Any other suggestions?

Problem solved, it had to do with the FSUIPC as you suggested. Thanks Much for your replies!
