February 23, 200719 yr Jim,I think it worked a couple of times, but now, after I process a new flight plan in AS6, GEPro is not automatically started w/auto-submit of textures. If I click the GEPro button within AS6, it does start and prompts for texture updates. Have you seen this before?I've got AS6 and GePro running on a WideFS client.-michael
February 24, 200719 yr Would you believe that right after placing the post about no auto-submit, I processed a KDFW-KLAX flight plan and when the processing completed, AS6 did auto-start GePro for texture submission ...! :-hmmm-michael

February 24, 200719 yr Hi Mike,See if WideFs and FSUIPC are communicating well. There is a WideFS.log file that will show this. Other things to check: your firewall and AV settings. Please let us know because this is the first I have seen of this.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

But keep in mind that when I process the flight plan I'm running without FS started, and ASG and GePro submit the files via direct access to my FS9 folder which is shared w/appropriate write access.I'm thinking about doing a reinstall of GePro. If I do, what should I save (data and config info) so that I don't have to go through the overnight process of ground texture creation?Thanks.-michael

When I REFRESH WX and that process completes GEPro does get started. On occasion, GEPro starts immediately after I close the dialog showing the processed flight plan.-michael
February 25, 200719 yr Hi Mike,If you are going to reinstall and use old textures, I would save the whole GEP folder. In AS you do have Enable GE Pro Submit on New FP checked On, correct?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
February 25, 200719 yr Jim,Completed the reinstall and the issue remains. But, I did notice the following:I typically run AS6 with "PAUSE" enabled, requiring me to manually initiate a refresh to trigger ONLINE processing. I disabled the PAUSE option, and when AS6 initially starts it downloads the WX for my default location. I then process a FP, and upon completion, a refresh/WX upload is initiated, followed by AS6 starting up GEPro. That works fine.I then enabled the PAUSE option. I went through the above process and when I completed the processing of the flight plan, WX was not automatically refreshed and GePro was not auto-started. When I manually initiated the refresh, Wx was updated and GePro was started by AS6.I believe things are likely working as they should - except -I have always run AS6 with the PAUSE option enabled. However, when I complete processing of a FP, sometimes AS6 will automatically initiate a Wx refresh, other times it does not. Perhaps that is why I see GePro being started sometimes, and not others. I will disable the PAUSE option for now. Let me know if the above sounds right or if there is additional things you want me to try.Thanks.-michael
February 25, 200719 yr Hi Mike,Another idea: Force the secondary server in AS. This will always trigger a new download. This could be the problem.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
