February 26, 200719 yr In reviewing various forum posts about FE and its textures, I came across a statement made by Damien over a year ago regarding the use of ASG as the "engine" to submit all relevant textures to FS, regardless of the source of those textures. That got me thinking ...Considering the overlap between textures submitted by ASG and FE and the desire to have the best of both, I experimented a bit last night. My goal was to have a single source for all Dawn/Dusk textures - leveraging the best of ASG and FE!What I did was this: I copied one set of FE Sunrise textures into the ASG Dawn texture folder. The last ASG dawn texture set was '065' so I named the FE Sunrise textures as '066'. I then fired up ASG and was able to select them and send them to FS. I tested FS at 16x speed and watched the transition from night to dawn to day. Nice! The next step is to test FE and see if it is possible to prevent certain textures from being submitted, specifically, to deselect all Sunrise/Dawn, Day, Sunset/Dusk textures such that when FE is executed, FE sends only Cloud, Night and Water textures to FS.If this works, then I can do the following:1. Run AS6 with ASG submission turned on. Dawn/Day/Dusk/Night/Cloud textures will be submitted.2. Run GEPro to submit Day/Ground textures (overriding the ASG day textures).3. Run FE to submit only Cloud, Night and Water textures (overriding the ASG Cloud and Night textures). My ultimate goal would be to move all FE Sunrise, Day, Sunset, Night and Cloud textures into ASG, and allow ASG to select them all - getting the best of the overlap between FE and ASG with ASG doing the random selections. The other reason for doing this: ASG also submits textures for rain and snow intensity; to completely disable ASG (which is what I do now - FE gives me cloud, sunrise, sunset, night textures, GEPro gives me day textures) I lose those nice features of ASG (not to mention the great variety offered in dawn/dusk textures).-michael

I actually found two ways to do it but the easiest way is to simply remove the textures from the FE texture folder (the other method required modifying the FE config file). Tomorrow I will move the dawn/dusk textures over and get that working - then I will look at moving the daytime sky textures.-michael
