March 12, 200719 yr I've seen statements on this forum (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=171&topic_id=31578&mesg_id=31578&page=)and the Active Sky website that an upgrade from v6 to v6.5 is available on the AS website in the downloads page. The downloads page [http://sales.hifisim.com/ASv6/downloads.htm] has two downloads - 'ASv6.5+Graphics Service Update (B552) February 28, 2007' [http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/ASv65-SU1.zip]and 'ASv6 and ActiveSky Graphics Upgrade for ASV/ASVE Users (46MB)' [http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/ASv6-Upgrade.zip].According to the forum message referred to above, the first of these is to be applied "over the top of your existing ASv6.5 install", so it clearly isn't the v6 to v6.5 upgrade. The second is to upgrade from v5 to v6.So where is the 6 to 6.5 upgrade?Phil
March 12, 200719 yr Hi Phil:Yes, it is a bit confusing. Updates are inclusive, so you will be OK just to use this one download.This:http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/ASv65-SU1.zipDiscription:If you purchased/downloaded ASv6 or ASv6.5 before February 28, 2007, please download and install this upgrade which provides many fixes and enhancements as well as new features and integration based on user feedback. Detailed revision information can be found inside the download package (revisions.txt).Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
March 13, 200719 yr Ok, thanks Jim.I didn't realise the updates were cumulative, and the forum message about the latest update clearly says that a separate update from v6 to v6.5 is required, and that it's available from the downloads page.Quote: "Simply install this update over the top of your existing ASv6.5 install. If you are not already updated to ASv6.5, please visit http://sales.hifisim.com/ASv6/downloads.htm to get the latest official update to ASv6.5. You can then apply this beta update on top if desired."Phil
March 13, 200719 yr Hi Phil,That was the text for the beta update, which may not be inclusive. Once it became official, then it was inclusive. When the post was edited this wording was not changed.Official "stuff" will always be listed on the web site!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
