March 24, 200719 yr Weather is different by day and night. In certain parts of the world, you will invariably encounter winds during the day which calm in the evening and there is almost no wind at night. This is especially true in the tropics and around large bodies of water. Now, the way ActiveSky downloads weather, I always get real weather, 1-2 hour old as far as I understand it, but it is in no way linked to the time of day I am actually flying in. Thats no problem if I were to always fly in my time zone of course, but not so ideal for those of us exploring the world. I'd rather have local time-linked weather than the 'latest' weather file. Have you ever thought of linking the time of the weather downloaded to the time of the simulation? Is it at all feasible? Or is the data available always just the current set?==Marten:Weber==P-D920 3.3MHz 2GB RAM WinXP ATI X1900+1024MB 2xSATA250 2xVIEWSONIC 19"author of http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=bbgrfs.zipscreens on http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r45/abulaafia/
March 24, 200719 yr Hi,You can do this using archived weather and the option to use FS time instead of System time and use the Auto Set FS Time on Archive D/L. Just download the actual timed weather that you will be flying in, load the first file, and start FS. If you are flying a long flight you can use the Enable Offline Sequence Playback option. Remember to also download enought weather files. We have all of this covered!! March 28, 200719 yr I was aware of the archived weather option - but Auto Set FS Time to Archive D/L has escaped me. Thanks for the hint, it works nicely.
