March 29, 200719 yr Hi!I don't know if you remember this issue:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=31822&page=3Well, I have found many (too many) places in the world (even flying in US) where you see this happen. You are in instrument conditions and in a second almost all weather is gone. Can't you verify if the change of weather is too big and then don't pass it to FS?Some times it gets very unrealistic :(Regards,M. Silva
March 30, 200719 yr Hi,Thanks for writing. The link is for a user who wanted to know about flightplans and then is talking to himself. So here, your weather is disappearing around your plane? There are Suppression options in place to prevent this. Are you using those options? Please provide a bit more detail and post your ASv6.ini file.We will be happy to take a look!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
April 9, 200719 yr Sorry this the correct link:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=31563&page=6I am using fsx so I have suppression turned off. My ASv6.ini is almost equal to the asv6.ini of that user (with suppression turned off).I think that when you read that post you will understand what I mean. Thanks,M Silva
April 9, 200719 yr Hi,Are you asking if we have removed all the military weather stations that can only report a maximum visibility of 7SM?Also remember that suppression is not active with FSX at the present time.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
April 10, 200719 yr No, that is not the problem. The problem is that there are some stations that aren't updated all over the world (not only the military ones).Yes I have suppression off.For me this is the only flaw of this program. I know this isn't your fault, but this leads to some disapointing popups in the weather..What I am asking is: When FSX is changing the current weather station, can you verify if the change of the weather conditions from the previous station is too big (or at least: instrument to clear weather) and if it is, then maintain the conditions from the previous station.Hope that there is something you can do to prevent this.Thanks,M. Silva
April 10, 200719 yr Hi,OK, not right now and we will need to see what Microsoft comes up with to help us out in this area.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
April 14, 200719 yr Hello, I would like to ask you something similar:When I take-off in very low visibility 1 or 2 miles, suddenly, after a while and some 2000 or 3000 feet high, the foggy disappears for completely and I even can look to the airport I just left, completely clear, and this always happens. Shouldn
April 14, 200719 yr Hi,We can't eliminate this completely, but make sure that Overcast Enhancement is On and Use FS9 Haze is on. Also, limiting your maximum visibility to 29 can help.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
