Active Sky and Flight 1 Flight Environment

Featured Replies

Can Active Sky (AS) and Flight Environment (FE) be used together? I have FE but will be getting AS soon, just wanted to see if I can use both or have to remove FE?

Hi,Thanks for your interest in our product! You can continue to use FS for your environmental textures and AS for your weather generation.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

does FE enhance AS, or does it really matter?

Hi,FE contains water textures which AS does not.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Ok, I can understand the use of water textures, but I'm still confused on the graphics for clouds for example. FS has it's own way of generating cloud textures. So does AS. So what happens when you use both, does one overide the other? Or do you turn on/off features so they don't conflict?

Hi,The last program you use before starting FS will be the textures that FS04 will use. Each user needs to decide which they like better. Some like FE some like ASG and some go back and forth!!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

OK, thanks for the info. I'll be installing AS this week. I'm looking forward to it.
