May 3, 200719 yr Hi,I often do city pairs in my 737, distance around 200 nm. Weather at departure is downloaded and displays ok. But often I encounter the following situation:At some point during cruise (around 35.000 ft) suddenly the outside view goes grey. No high clouds, no ground details anymore, just all gray. Some 25 nm away from the destination, during descent, weather comes back, with clouds and all. I don't think that on all my trips I am supposed to encounter fog banks en route. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance,Hans
May 3, 200719 yr Hi Hans,Sorry for the problem.Any particular spot where this is happening? If this happens again, check Active Sky and look at the dewpoint temperature. The dewpoint should be lower than the ground temperature. If it is higher, then this is what happens in FS. Also make sure you are running B552 of Active Sky.Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
May 7, 200719 yr Hi Jim,I am on a trip around the world. During the last weeks - when I observed the greying out - I was in the Montreal area. Last flight was to Detroit. So dew point might be a problem, because of season and area. I will check that and report back! Thanks and regards,Hans
May 7, 200719 yr Hi,OK thanks. Again, make sure you are running B552. We did put in an internal check for this that should prevent this from happening, but you need to be using a new version of AS.Thanks again,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
