May 13, 200719 yr Hi JimI want to reinstall AS. Just did a search on reinstalling and all your answers are to email you. Can you point me to the procedure for doing a fresh install.I'm still having problems getting the my preferred airport to load on startup (still get DGTK) and still not getting FSbuild to load the winds. I'm confident I have all relevant paths etc as they should be, so I'm at the point of trying a fresh install. Have all the updates etc since AS2004.Thanks in advance
May 13, 200719 yr Hi Ian,Uninstall through the Add/Remove panel of Windows, starting with the most recient entry for Active SkySend me an e-mail.Download and reinstall.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 14, 200719 yr Thanks JimDownloaded and installed.Problem I have now is that my Options screen does not have a Save and Close button or a Cancel button.....just Set Defaults button??? Just did a search but couldn't find anyone else who has had this....am I missing something simple?Appreciate your support
May 14, 200719 yr Hi Ian,I would suggest that you changed your screen resolution and those buttons are "off screen". Increase your screen resolution and the buttons should re-appear. If not, then re-post here!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 15, 200719 yr Hi JimYou are quite correct...I had changed resolution to 800*600 because I installed a touch screen with that native resolution (this is on a WideFS client). However changing resolution to 1024*768 had no effect on the Options window size, and although I can see that it is cut off at the bottom I cannot resize the window. Its still cut off at the same point, just below the Set Defaults button, as with the lower res?Can you point me to where I can resize the window...I looked in ASV.ini file but only has window position setting. Thanks again for your prompt response
May 15, 200719 yr Hi Ian,The window size itself is a fixed size and cannot be adjusted. It can be dragged around though, by normal means. You may need to go to a higher resolution on your screen, even though I tried with 1024 X 768 and the whole options window shows. But that is on a 17" secondary monitor. After adjusting things you can change the screen back. As a last resort you can edit the ASv6.ini file, but we do not like to suggest that.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 15, 200719 yr Hi JimAll is well....had to go to 1240*1080 to get the full window. Strange why 1024*768 couldn't get the full window as it had previously with my original install...maybe because the latest install was done on 800*600???Now my default airport loads. Just have to sort out my winds for FSbuild....I'm sure its a problem with the latter (on my pc anyway) rather than AS.Many thanks for your ongoing support
May 15, 200719 yr Hi,Glad you got things working!. No, this would have nothing to do with the resolution set at installation, but the size of the screen. Is this the same screen you were using before?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 16, 200719 yr Hi JimNo not the same screen...a small touch screen...so that's probably why. I thought I had seen the full Options screen after installing the screen but maybe not. Thanks for you interest in resolving this.Best RegardsIan
