Active Radar Not Updating (FSBuild)

Featured Replies

Hi,I've been having this problem since I bought Active Sky (V then). I load an FSBuild plan into the Radar and it won't update. I did a search and found a couple of posts, saying to rename the .pln files. I renamed them in the folder - nothing. I loaded them into the FS flight planner and then saved under the same name - nothing. Under a different name - nothing. Could someone please give a solution in simple terms? Thanks :)Terry

Hi Terry,Sorry for the problem.Try this:1. Make sure you are using B552 of Active Sky.2. Load the plan into FS043. Re-save the plan.4. Import this plan into Radar.5. Press the Refresh button. If that does not work, please try a uninstall/reinstall cycle of Active Sky.Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Thanks for the reply.I am using build 552Loaded the plan into FS2004Saved the plan both as DEPT-ARR.PLN and as the default (for example "IFR London Gatwick to Dusseldorf" etc etc)Imported into the radarNeither worked (update caused the red message to go away ("you may need to update") and I noticed that in EDDL (I started another flight there) despite heavy precipitation and bad visibility the Wx radar showed nothing, not even a little green. It used to, I am sure of that.Unless you can think of something else I will reinstall, although I will need to dig through my discs to see where I kept a backup and I'll need to dig up my info. I am a little loth to do these reinstalls :)

Just following up: Reinstall worked! Thank you for your help and confidence. Thanks for making this amazing piece of FS software - it's worth every last penny and more.Terry
