XEngine Message: 'System.OutOfMemoryException'

Hello, weather experts,When I try to download histocal weather data from a selected date within ASX, the ASX Log file shows me the same error message as Allan has desribed here: thread #33176, "RAM spike exceeding 1.3 Gigs".However, I cannot see any RAM spike more than usually expected. His solution as he wrote in this thread will also not work. I'm still looking for a way to avoid this error and to get the selected weather data. However, I also get another error, when I try to save the current weather data to HD. I hope somebody has an idea what I should do.Start ASX, download the weather data, ASX saved the data and generates the weather output file. So far okay. But when I start to save this weather file I get the following error message from the XEngine Message Box:Unhandled exception has occurred in your aplication. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. The detailed description is:See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.************** Exception Text Problem solved - but I don't know how, hehe.I was looking for a solution for the installation error, when the setup cannot read the FSX DVD 2. In this way I found a hint refering to the Microsoft Knowledge Base, article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314810/EN-US/ The recommendation was to reduce the sizeof MAXMEM in the boot.ini under advanced options. I reduced the value to 1024 as a first attempt according my installed 2 GB RAM. Reboot and start ASX, downloaded the current weather - then click to save. Saving message appears, wait a minute or two - but no error message. A Moment later the file was stored correctly. Wow, happy now. Anyway, the KB article describes only to reduce the MAXMEM size for the process of installation, then change it back to the original (MAX). But what for ASX? Have I to change the boot.ini for every time to save a weather file? Will look further for a stable solution.Ulli

Hi, me again, set back the boot.ini with the original MAXMEM size of 2048 as before, reboot the computer and start the ASX. Guess what happens? Hehe, ASX works fine as it should do! Save the current weather, saved some historical weather data; seems that everything works fine now. Finally I can say it's a really good programm, and worth every cent, even together with the new XGraphics. ThanksUlli
