The Dreaded Blue Band

Featured Replies

I may have found the answer to eliminate the "blue band" on the horizon when experiencing an overcast sky.Try the following:1) Download FSUIPC Version 2.95 (December 2002).This version now has a separate surface visibility maximum for rainy/snowy weather.2) Under the visibility option, set clear at 6000,3) set cloudy at 6000,4) set o/cast at 400,5) set rainy at 400.If you are using FS-Meteo, do not enable "use default visibility."The overcast isn't quite as "crisp", but I can live with that. This worked for me, but systems are different. Have fun.(My motto is as follows: As a last resort, read the manual and get out the duct tape.)Athlon 1.2512 ramTNT2Many thanks to Peter Dowson for a great program.
