January 17, 200818 yr Hi all,Running AS6.5, FS9, Windows XP.Today I was doing a VFR flight in Alaska, everything looking good, slight drizzle at start but viz was ok below the cloud deck.Trundling along the sun started to shine, greats thinks me, I can go over the mountains instead of hugging the coast.5 minutes later, cloud had broken and the sun was shining. Few clouds on the horizon but that was it. This, I thought, is why i love ActiveSky.Then in the space of 10 seconds everything grayed out. Instant IFR. Roll wings level, pitch up 15 degrees and go heads in. Went all the way up to about 10K.The question is is there something I can do to stop this sort out of the blue weather? It really was to dramatic a change from clear blue sky to instant pea soup. I had online updates running so I guess that is part of the problem.Any input ?TIA
January 18, 200818 yr Hi Chris,Could have been the visibility that abruptly changed. Were you flying above or below your suppression ceiling?Because you were around mountains, it could have been an updraft for the pitch. Please let us know.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
