February 26, 200818 yr SP2 (B298)I tried reinstalling several times, but it doesn't help. The problem may be with Framework.NET but if I try to reinstall it, I get the message that it is already included in the O/S (Vista Home Premium)It looks like I have both Framework.NET 1.1 and 2.0 SP1 on my system, but uninstalling 1.1 didn't help either.Any suggestions?Michel
February 26, 200818 yr HiJust to let you know I'm looking into this issue for you. Also could you tell me if you checked that application dataX Graphics folder had been deleted prior to reinstalling. If you would likr to try a reinstall one more time ensuring that the application dataX Graphics folder and program filesX Graphics folder have both been deleted prior to reinstalling.ThanksCarl Hackmanhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg
February 27, 200818 yr I uninstalled XG (and both folders are gone) and I also uninstalled Framework .NET 1.0 and 1.1 and 2.0 SP1 which would normally only leave me with the 2.0 that comes with Vista. I reinstalled XG (without SP1 and SP2) but it asked me to manually point to the FSX root folder (other programs like Airac for PMDG are somehow able to find FSX on their own). I then got to the main XG screen and tried to load a theme but got the following error:Pop Current Set Details Error!Data at the root level is invalid, Line 1, position 21859.Please see error log for details. The error log says:8:16:56 PM Tuesday, February 26, 2008 - Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 21859.Then I got this error when I exited XG:************** Exception Text **************System.Xml.XmlException: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 13, position 17. at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(Exception e) at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(String res, String arg) at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.ParseRootLevelWhitespace() at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.ParseDocumentContent() at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Read() at System.Xml.XmlLoader.LoadDocSequence(XmlDocument parentDoc) at System.Xml.XmlLoader.Load(XmlDocument doc, XmlReader reader, Boolean preserveWhitespace) at System.Xml.XmlDocument.Load(XmlReader reader) at System.Xml.XmlDocument.Load(String filename) at XGraphics.FSXE_Engine.Save_Config_Parameter(String MyKey, String MyValue) at XGraphics.FSXE_Engine.CleanUp() at XGraphics.FSXE_Engine.Finalize() at XGraphics.FSXE_Engine.ShutdownTimerProcessor(Object myObject, EventArgs myEventArgs) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)Now when I run XG I get a white box with the text:This form is only used as an entry point for the application and the window is never shown to the user.Michel
February 27, 200818 yr Hi Please email me your "config.xml" from the application dataHifiX Graphics folder.X Graphics obtains the path to FSX from your registry. If the path in the registry is incorrect or X Graphics is installed on a network (client pc) or FSX is not in the default location then X Graphics will ask you to navigate to your installation. Also can you paste in your complete FSX Path. carl(AT)hifisim.com replace (AT) with @ for email address to work correctly.ThanksCarl Hackmanhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg
