October 3, 200817 yr Good morning.I've been searching the forum for a solution to my problem, but have turned up empty handed. My problem is that I am simply unable to get any reduced visibility or any fog at all, no matter what METAR I enter. I only get a low cloud layer. I have tried the in-built FS weather generator but that does not help either. I hope you can help me find a solution. I am using the AS6.5 with FS9.Best regardsMathias Tangvall
October 3, 200817 yr Hi,FS by it's nature uses a low cloud layer for fog so this may be normal. Please post a screen shot and we'll know for sure.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 5, 200817 yr After playing around with all kinds of settings I noticed that I can get reduce visibility. However this only lasts for less than a second. I can "capture" it with pause, but as soon as i unpause, the fog is cleared. So I am able to get it, it just wont stay. Any thoughts?Best regardsMathias
October 5, 200817 yr Hi,Please post your ASV6.ini file.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 5, 200817 yr Now the last thing i noticed is that if i set the visibility in fsuipc then it works. However that is the only way. Im starting to think tha AS6 has nothing to do with it. I'll post the .ini file as soon as I can.Thank you for the quick replyMathias
October 5, 200817 yr And i figured it out. I had a weather.dll file that was bad. I got hold of a new one and the fog now stays. It is fun to fly IFR again. Thank you very much for your help.Best regardsMathias
