October 5, 200817 yr This is the message I get when launching ASX today10:34:51: Problem receiving SimConnect data: Exception from HRESULT: 0xC000013C(Error) Source = 10:34:51: FSX connection closed10:34:51: Virtual station generation flags have been reset
October 5, 200817 yr Hi,You may have a corrupt FSX install. Uninstall backwards and reinstall SP1 and see if that fixes things.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 6, 200817 yr No other addon is corrupted, and I have not made any changes to FSX since the last time ASX worked. I'm sorry but there is no way I am going to go through this just to try and get ASX working again, can you please give me other things to look for and try first besides a reinstall?
October 6, 200817 yr Hi,This line of the log:Problem receiving SimConnect data: Exception from HRESULT: 0xC000013C(Error) Source =suggests that your SP1 SimConnect may be corrupt. Other addons may not require SimConnect SP1.Try disabling your anti-virus software.See if you have a restore point on your computer that you can go back to.Don't uninstall FSX, just SP2 and SP1. Then reinstall SP1 and see what happens. If you don't what to try this, then you can try the manual method that is in the SimConnect Troubleshooting chapter of the ASX Guide.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 14, 200817 yr Uninstalled the FSX updates, installed SP1, still get this error message. Also tried the manual installation of simconnect. This is driving me crazy! Everything was working before
October 14, 200817 yr Hi,Install this and see if the error goes away:http://dreamcatcher.hifisim.com/ASX-Update-B1161.zipThanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 15, 200817 yr Hi,Are you running FSX as Administrator?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 15, 200817 yr Yes. I never had this issue until after I installed an anti virus software, but I never scanned anything with it. Strange. I will try uninstalling the av software and launch asx again
October 17, 200817 yr So I realized, that nod32 may be a great anti virus program, but its all in one package of anti virus, anti spyware, and firewall cause the issue. Even though I disabled the anti virus and firewall, it still had an anti spyware protection mode running that cannot be turned off. That interfeared with your asx program and sim connect. So you may want to contact the company and see if anything can be done. i was just using it as a trial, but would like to use it in the future.their website ishttp://www.eset.com/And it was the smart security software, the all in one package.
October 17, 200817 yr Hi,I bet there is an option to either Allow or exclude certain programs to run or not be scanned.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
