October 10, 200817 yr OK, I am on runway 28 which faces West. ASX tells me that the winds are 220 at 12kts. That means that the wind is coming from a SSW direction. The wind sock does indeed seem to be pointing the right way. Why is it then that as I roll down the runway, I am fighting with my joystick to the right by trying to keep the aircraft straight because the wind is pushing me from the right so that I almost end up on the left hand side of the runway. In other words, the wind appears to be coming from the opposite direction to what ASX says, ie. 220 (SSW). The wind should of been pushing me to the right of the runway if the wind is 220 degrees shouldn't it? Can someone explain this weired thing that's happening? Thanks.
October 10, 200817 yr Hi,Winds hit the tail of the plane on the left, thus pushing the nose of the plane to the left.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
