Ghost landing at start up

Featured Replies

I am not sure if this has anything to do with ASX or XGraphics, but I have a strong suspicion it might.I installed ASX and XGraphics a few days ago. After some initial problems with Vista, it is now working satisfactory. However, every time I load an aircraft, it seems to be initialised at a few feet above the ground. When it falls down (putting the plane at -2 feet), FSX is registering it as a landing. Not a big deal maybe, but one of those little annoying things along.Otherwise, I love the way that the world just looks so much better on the screen. :-jumpyBest regards,Annasara

I have installed a new plane (PMDG MD-11), but it also happens with defaults and older installs that never messed with me before. It is otherwise a default airport (LSGG). It also happens at other airports, but LSGG is my homebase and I know it never happened before. Now it happens every time.I've tried to restore the backup file, but it didn't help. It's not a big deal. I just wanted to check with you so it wasn't something that slightly changed the altitude of the airport after running XGraphics or that the conversion between US/European pressure is slightly different in Active sky or anything that would give this odd behavour.Annasara

Same thing, but as I said, I don't know what could be the cause, only that it happened in connection to the install of ASX/XG and PMDG MD-11.Deleting and rebuilding the fx.cfg, didn't help either. My boyfriend that is using the same computer, but a different account and he also gets minus two feet above the ground. We might end up reinstalling fsx during the weekend, that might be the ultimate solution. Or just let it be...Annasara
