October 19, 200817 yr As mentioned in other topics, this is my configuration:ASX + XGraphic in FSX sp2 running X-IVAP latest version using PMDG MD11.I've tested this configuration for 1 day trying 3 leg route. In this config FSX crashed all 3 times. First one after 2 hour, and last two after 1 hour. At the fourth time I try to run without ASX (only IVAP weather, and the same plane PMDG-MD11) and it was all good. Next day I flew 2 route for 6 hours each, without ASX and without any problems. It's all for now
October 20, 200817 yr Hi,Are all weather options Off in IVAP?If you don't start IVAP does this happen? What happens using a default plane?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 20, 200817 yr Yes Jim, all weather option are off in IVAP. In the netxt day I'll make some tests session with other plane than MD11 and no IVAP. I'll keep you informed.Bye
October 21, 200817 yr Another one test last night, but only for 45min.Short leg from ETSI to EDDG, MADDOG2006 aircraft, IVAP (no active weather), AS-X on. No crash, but during the fly wind was very mad. Totally unreal; wind flickering from 30kt to 10 and continuous rotation in any direction.Best regards
October 21, 200817 yr Hi,Enhanced Route Coverage On in ASX?Virtual Stations On?Plan processed? What wind smoothing options are you using?Default plane?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 27, 200817 yr Other tests are been executed. Initial problem was resolved adding more 2GB RAM (now I have 4GBRAM), because the MD11 memory hunger as you can see in the PMDG forum. Now wind direction and intensity changing problem still remain. In the last flights, I flew without starting ASX, only X-IVAP. All options indicated in the previous discussion, was checked, but the problem was alleviated only.I'm thinking to substitute ASX with other weather engine...
October 27, 200817 yr Hi,From Damian:"FSX's wind interpolation bugs prevent proper depiction of wind direction as set via the data. Random directions are unfortunately a known issue that after 3 years and hundreds of hours of work we have been unable to solve. Work of course does continue."Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 30, 200817 yr Jim, thank you for your answer, but I don't agree with you. From your answer all problems are seem to come from FSX. Why it gone be all right when I run IVAP, activating weather option and not starting ASX?ThanksFrank
