December 24, 200223 yr i use it often. mainly to make sure im on the GS. its pretty easy really, just turn it and select what youd like to follow and how. you can follow the ILS when on approach and you can follow a VOR. you can also change how you can follow them, you can have boxes which are basically red squares (not filled!! so you can see) stay in the middle of the box and your on course, theres also poles and a yellow line. the poles are red T's and the yellow line is the same as what you see in the street.when flying an ILS approach using it, just type in the frequency for the runway and when your within range it should pick it up. typical ILS range is 27 nautical miles. NOT all airports are capable of using the efis system so if you fly into one that doesnt have it then it wont work. if it doesnt pick it up then go back to the efis menu and make sure ILS is chosen. by default itll be on VOR but sometimes itll change by itself.Ernesto Alvarez
