Snowflake options...

Hi All,Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone here! With Winter here, I have started experimenting with ActiveSky and FS2K2 to produce some pretty incredible (realistic!) results. Anyone who hasn't set a low overcast (with a lower scattered layer) and reduced the vis to 1/2 at dusk (with light snow) is missing one incredible experience. Kudos to everone at ActiveSky!My only gripe (gotta complain about something!) is the FS snowflake size and "behaviour" when the aircraft is *stopped*. There are some pretty large flakes that appear and the snow fall rate gives the effect of someone standing on the aircraft with a large salt shaker. Oddly enough, the snow fall becomes far more realistic once the aircraft begins moving. I have tried the substitute flakes here at avsim, but the result is the same...anyone notice this or have any ideas?? It think it would add significantly to the winter flying experience.Regards,Cary
