March 18, 200323 yr First, let me congratulate you guys on out "realisming" (I just made that up) your RD-4. Since I took my basic multi engine flight training in the "Mitchell", I was thrilled to get it and it is really fun to fly......except.....No matter what I try to do in trimming her up, it wants to go into a steep bank to the right. As soon as I lift off, it starts into a right wing low situation. I have had to try to get it level and get into the "Z autopilot. My landings wth this situation closely resemble my "controlled crashes" when I first shot landings in it. Has anyone else had this problem or have I missed something in the manual?Dave Sherb
March 18, 200323 yr Dave.. It sounds like your right engine isn't up to full power.... Try starting with another plane with engine/s running then switch to the Mitchel...good luck.. :-kewl
March 18, 200323 yr Your rudder trim isn't set hard across to the right, to counteract the insane left-swing of some default aircraft, is it? If the power levels are different, that will be visible easily on the engine instruments. The other option, if you are using foot pedals, is that your pedals need recalibrating. If you look from the outside, are the rudders central with your feet off the pedals?Ian P.:-halo
March 19, 200323 yr Thanks for the replies Cecil and Ian. Tried all suggestions. Power level on both engines good, Pedals/Rudders at zero when checking out side. Adjusting aileron trim does nothing. I am wondering if I might have to re-install it, because there is definitely something screwed up. If I release the yoke to set something up, it immediately goes into a steep bank.It appears that I am alone with this problem. Thanks anyway.Dave
March 19, 200323 yr Good Question....I just took my Convair 580 turboprop up for a touch and go and it flew like a dream straight & level....go figure.Dave
