March 29, 200323 yr I find the B-25 very difficult to trim, almost impossible, for level flight. I have tried several different sensitivity settings to no avail. I don't have this problem with the R4D or the PHDDZ DC-3 Dakota. Any ideas or info?
April 1, 200323 yr I assume no one has a problem triming the BT for hands off, level flight or they do but don't have an answer to my post. Either way I still have a problem. I don't want to use the AP on this aircraft but the slowly, constant, change in alt, takes away some of the fun. Thanks for any help or comments. Ed
April 1, 200323 yr Hi Edd,A few possible solutions:1. Set trim repeat function to half in the controls/assignments menu2. Try setting trim for altitude then fine tuning by small throttle adjustments3. If your trim is on a dedicated lever on your stick, these are often a little coarse in effect. Assigning trim to either default keys or a button on your stick might be better.4. Don't "chase" small altitude changes but wait and see what the overall trend is. If the trend is a slight overall rise after a couple of phugoid oscillations (see below) then slightly reduce throttle. Vice Versa if the trend is slight loss of altitude.Phugoid Oscillations: the tendency for aircraft to slowly rise and fall - such oscillations often take a long time.Regards,Rob YoungMAAM Sim - Rambow - Visser - Banting - Young
