Briefing Time Performance Figures

Featured Replies

I haven't bought 'Briefing Time' yet, but I do intend to within the next couple of days (just paid my credit card off, and am waiting for the updated balance), but I have just installed the trial version, and would like to ask about some performance figures so I can start a round the UK flight before I get the full version. The figures I would like to know are:* Rough cruise speed and power settings at 6000ft and 10000ft* Maximum gear and flap operating speeds* Ideal approach and landing speedsIf these figures are somewhere in the manual, I apologise. I have had a quick look at it, but I haven't read it properly. Any help appreciated!

Hello,The easy one first of all is the flap and gear operating speeds, which are exactly the same at 170mph (BT does everything in mph, rather than Knots...)The rough cruise speed at 6000' is a little over 200mph, depending on your exact power settings. I seemed to average about 220mph when I flew from Reading to Duxford in stages during the Beta Testing, but I was playing with throttle settings and the navigation gear, so that might not have been most efficient cruise speed!I fly approaches at between 150 and 100mph, depending on the wind conditions, with landing at around 100-110mph.I have no doubt that Bill will be along shortly, however, to tell me I'm doing it all wrong and should go back to watching Russ's videos to get the proper numbers! :-)Okay, so I'm biased, but I'd say get the package immediately, regardless of the credit card bill balance ;-)Ian P.:-halo

You will not be disappointed! It really is a superb aircraft to fly!!!
