May 2, 200323 yr Hi,I am experiencing some rather odd behaviour during ILS approaches in the B-25. When getting into range of the ILS, I see how the NAV1 needles come to life, and I am intercepting the glide slope. Then, suddenly, both the NAV1 and NAV2 units seem to be going for lunch (the ADF continues to work, thought,) returning the needles to the center positions. I am positive that I haven't deviated from the approach glide slope, not enough to get out of the beam. I also double-checked the frequency settings, and my position on the GPS, and FSNavigator. This happen app. on two approaches out of three, and does not seem to be related to which airport or ILS approach I am going for. And no, no System Failures triggered :-eek !Any help from the members of this forum would be very much appriciated.Best Regards,-- Stefan
May 2, 200323 yr Hi Stefan,This isn't something that I believe anyone around here has come across before, but I'll try some ILSs later and see if I can recreate the bug.I'm sure some of the team will be trying it as well, but no harm in trying to replicate your problem, is there? :-)Ian P.:-halo
May 2, 200323 yr Hi Ian,I tried the "classical" approach to fix most computer software-related peculiarities; I uninstalled the B-25, and then reinstalled it. It seems it did the trick (knock on wood...:-)); just did five approaches in a row with it, and the VOR stayed tuned all five of them.Regards,- Stefan
May 2, 200323 yr Hi again,That does seem to work worryingly often, doesn't it... Only problem is that I've now lost my excuse to go buzzing things in Stephan Demmelmeier's latest repaint!Oh, what the heck... someone make sure MMR has enough fuel in to make it round the block and back, I'm taking her for a spin! :-hahGlad it seems to be sorted.Ian P.:-halo
May 2, 200323 yr Yes, any excuse for a flight is a good one. :-)Thanks for the tip on "Meet Mrs Runyon"! Downloading it right now. Just got to have them all.Regards,- Stefan
