September 4, 200322 yr After following the instructions about moving files from FS2002 over to FS9 I couldnt find the FS9.cfg file to make the FSSound.dll entry.I have searched my hard drive for the #%&*@# thing using every combo I could find (including *.cfg). When I start FS9 I get that message about "possible incompatible software FSSound.dll". After bypassing that message I can load BT. Beautiful in all respects except no 2D panel. The virtual cockpit is ok and looks even better than fs 2002. Can anyone help me find the FS9.cfg file so I can fix things?
September 4, 200322 yr this is from the FAQ at the MSFS Forum,,Q) Where is the configuration file now located?A) It will be located in your personal Application Data folder. On Windows 2000/XP systems, this is located in Documents and SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftFS9FS9.cfg (for Windows 9x users the path is WindowsApplication DataMicrosoftFS9fs9.cfg). The Application Data folder is hidden, so you will need to enable viewing of hidden files/folders under the Folder Options in your Explorer.for the main panel you must press 'W'John
