December 14, 200322 yr Just wondering what method you all use for landing. In the VC, I can't get a good view over the nose to see the runway. Thus, I have to come in high and make a steep approach. I tried changing the eyepoint and view forward direction, but the default settings seem to be the best. Using shift-enter a couple of times helps except you have to keep doing it everytime you change the view. The 2d panel is fine, it is just the VC that I can't get right. Thanks,John Woodward
December 15, 200322 yr Hi John,Shift-Enter should be the best way to higher your viewpoint in VC mode temporarily ( that is if you don't use AC2004 )Only when you hit the space-bar it should return to the default viewpoint, not while changing view mode.. Do you use a yoke/stick i.e. hatswitch ? ( FS2002 or FS2004 ? ) Did you try to higher the default view with changing the third param under [ views ] eyepoint= from -4.9 to f.i. -4.5 ? You need to tilt down the view a bit but gives a good view over the nose during landing. Best way surely is to use Active Camera ( free for FS2002, pay for FS2004 ) you can then setup lots of favourite VC views accessable instantly via keys.best regards,Jan
