fs-9 start up with R4D loaded

Featured Replies

bbbonanzaThe MAAM-SIM R4D said it loaded ok. When a start the fs9 and choose one of the 3 dc-3 I get the following error messages:"FS was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using FS but this aircraft or software will be disabled. File gauges|MAAM_R4D.GAU."My computer then locks up and I can't even get out of fs9 without executing a Ctrl-Alt -Del

Hello,Did you say no to loading FSSound on loadup? If so, that is the culprit. This panel requires that FSSound.dll be loaded or you get that error. When you launch FS, unless you have put the tweak in place, FSSound reports that it may not be compatible with FS2004. It is, and can be loaded by accepting that message rather than not loading it. To avoid getting the message you can put the following "tweak" in FS9.cfg:(OldModules)FSSound.dll=1- except that you have to replace the ( and ) with square brackets, which won't show up in this forum.Hope that helps?Ian P.BTBT Gopher and Random Beer Crate Rotator:-halo
