DC3 view problem

Featured Replies

All was well :-) And then . . . I must have hit something on the keyboard inadvertently :-) But it's permanent (rebooting doesn't correct it; and it affects all my saved flights). The problem is that when I use the hat switch for its eight viewpoints, it shifts me into Virtual Cockpit mode. Another symptom of the change is that when I switch to Co-Pilot Panel, it doesn't switch, it just superimposes the Co-Pilot panel over the Pilot panel -- you see two compasses, for example. Can't figure out what caused the change. Any suggestions will be most welcome.BTW, the around-the-world (twice) exercise is on . . . have gotten all the way from KAUS to KBVO (2 flights) :-).Best,Gary

Here's a better description of the problems, with more detail:1) If I use the mouse, and click on the "CP" icon, from the Pilot's seat, the view switches to the Co-Pilot seat. No problem. But if I either use the keyboard (Shift+3) or my CH Throttle Quadrant button to which I've assigned Shift+3, I get the overlaid Co-Pilot seat view where you see two compasses. Prior to a few days ago, the Shift+3 (and CH button) produced the same result as the "CP" icon.2) In spot plane mode, I use the hat switch to check out the aircraft. Previously, if I held the hat switch in a given position, the movement was continuous (i.e., you could move all the way around the aircraft without releasing the switch). Now, however, the button only works incrementally -- if you push it in a particular direction, the view will move a slight bit, then stop. To move further you have to relase and re-push it. All of this worked perfectly for months. This just started when I booted up a few days ago. Have no idea what caused the changes. I suspect there may be other effects I just haven't discovered yet. Thanks for any ideas.Gary

GaryIs this problem with your MAAM-SIM aircraft only?If not, then I think you're far more likely to find a good answer or two over at the main Avsim forum. I, for one, have never experienced what you describe so can't think what might be your problem. One thing I would try is letting FS rebuild your FS9.CFG file. I suspect that might sort your difficulties.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]
