MAAM DC3 for FSX

Featured Replies

I installed my FS2004 DC3 CD according to the readme in the FSX update patch. I also installed the FSX update patch and it seems as if everything is working well. One thing though: the engine start doesn't seem to work at all. Is that still a bug in FSX and to be corrected later on? The VIB click switch only works onec and then no more. Could here the sound from the fuel pump switch but nothing happens. Ctrl+E seems to work after a reload.hermannk1

Hello HermannYou're correct that the VIB switch only seems to want to work the once in FSX - another glitch to work out, thanks, MS - but it should be adequate to get you started. I just retested it myself, several times. Build some fuel pressure if you need it; then PRIME, START, VIB. Indeed, she won't start without the VIB hit once; but that's enough. Make sure your mixture is set RICH, though.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cx.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a]

Hello MarkThanks for the tip, but somehow, somewhere I am still doing something wrong, though I started the bird many times in FS2004.I even watched the included video clip again.Fuel pressure builds up, PRIME, START, VIB - needles starts moving but settles back again. Fuel correct etc. Will again try. Am rather persistent!Hermann
