August 29, 200718 yr This is my nemesis!!! No matter what I do, I can't get the IFR variant to show up. Attatched is my aircraft .cfg, did I do something wrong? I doublechecked- no file omissions.Any ideas?Thanx in advance... :-waveWhoops!!! MAJOR edit, I figured it out. The problem was I was looking for a different model. It appears under DC-3 passenger as a variant. Apparently that was the problem the first three times I tried to do this too.The foolish and the wicked will suffer, but the foolish first :-)Thanx for a major addition to a great product, I will enjoy the DC-3 even more now.Thank you Mark Beaumont for all your patience with me...Best Regards, Donald T.FLYing? September 7, 200718 yr Are there any special instructions for putting this panel into FSX?I tried pasting the folder "XXX IFR" into simobjects/airplanes and it disapeared- Vamoose!!! Tried refreshing the folder, nothing...Best Regards, Donald T.:-waveFLYing? It's cool. Trillions of birds and insects can't be wrong.
September 7, 200718 yr I have not tried my IFR setup in FSX, Donald - I suspect some of the gauges will object to the move, although I have not checked this - but can only guess that you are not seeing the aircraft because :1. You are expecting thumbnails for them, and there aren't any i.e. they will be showing up as "?" mark entries which might be misleading you.2. You are not checking "Show all variations" in the selection window within the sim.3. There's another answer, but I am not understanding the question. Disappeared? Literally? Or do you mean that the aircraft is not showing up?MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cx.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
September 8, 200718 yr The folder DCAMAAM4 XXX IFR folder disapeared when I moved it to Simobjects/Airplanes. I renamed the parent folder "Aircraft" and dropped it at simobjects... this folder already contains a folder named airplanes... then it was there. I had already run the FSX patch, it was just a matter of doing the same steps as in FS9. Fortuanately I had a panel folder laying around that already had the four files deleted, the rest was pretty easy. Your IFR conversion works great in FSX- you are missing out!!! But you have to do everything over, when I tried the lazy method and pasted the FS9 UAL IFR into FSX the HSI was missing. To make a long story short- I am all straightened out... Again...:-)Best Regards, Donald T> :-waveFLYing? It's cool. Trillions of birds and insects can't be wrong.
