June 14, 200817 yr Does anyone know stalling speeds (flaps-no flaps) and minimum landing and takeoff distances for the avenger. this would be non-carrier ops. could not find them. manual I have access to did not list them. Thanks.
June 14, 200817 yr You can find all the stats in the "references" manual via the kneeboard if in FS9 or in each aircraft folder-- TBM-1_ref.htmThere is also the "real deal" Pilots Operating Handbook located in the MAAM folder installed to ...Flight Simulator 9MAAMPHFOI. I believe all the charts start about page 85 of the .pdf arrangement (pilot manual page 73 and onward).Hope that helps.
June 18, 200817 yr My fault. Trying to figure out about buying this, so do not have access to information you note. Would still like to know if anyone can note it here.(One would think this info. would be somewhere on web which may say more about my search skills I guess.)
June 19, 200817 yr You'll find all this information, as stated above, when you buy the product, jwall9y (got a name, by the way? We're very friendly around here). Can't see why you'd need it without having bought the product in the first place, to be sure! June 19, 200817 yr Name is John. I usually fly less developed, much shorter runway airfields. Since this is such a heavy airplane, I am thinking that it may not be something that I would fly that much. Basic info. about stalling speeds, runway length would help inform me to make a more informed decision. I was surprised that such basic information was not more readily findable and thought I would ask here. Did not mean to make such a big deal out of this.
June 19, 200817 yr JohnShe's heavy, yes, but manageable in tight spaces. Takeoff run varies from 360-900 feet in calm conditions, depending on gross weight. Basically divide those numbers by three for a 25knot headwind. Basically, stall speed varies from 52-66 knots depending on gross weight, with full flaps at SSLPA&T.Landing distance, power off standard day at sea level ranges from 855-1100 feet hard, 2080-2620 feet wet, again depending on gross weight.Hope this helps you to take the plunge, John. And don't write off the carrier ops - they're half the fun with the TBM/F!MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cx.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
