June 26, 200817 yr ...that there is no carrier under the plane when flight starts!!! lol...rather a nasty surprise!!...used 'slew mode' to get airborn after it reloaded the flight (after it did a belly flop into the Pacific).Am running FSX SP2 on XPPro...read enough in the forum & at MAAM's site to think maybe I could install Briefing Time and have some fun with it again (loved flying it in FS9...several online friends & I flew the entire Hawaiian island chain one Sunday...north to south...touch & goes at every strip we saw on the way...might have missed a few, but not many!!...over 7 hours, as I remember!)I've added the 'patch' for B.T. but found I have no VC at all!...side windows are gray, etc. I understand you're going to redo this craft after the DC3 (dad piloted one of those when I was in the 7th grade...for a cargo freight company). Am I missing something here...shouldn't there be a VC...even if some of the views we enjoyed pre-FSX are not available anymore (yet)? I have a keyboard key assigned to toggle the VC (my C-172 sometimes loads w/o one!), but it doesn't help w/BT's VC.Any solution? Thanks,Vance Roberts
June 27, 200817 yr I've got it sorted out now...VC is back & working fine.As to window/props transparency issues I'll paste a copy of another post I just made in another thread...in case you read this one and not the other one!>Thanks Bill for the window fix in DC3 for FSX. Have the same>problem now for the B25 even after installing the FSX fix>BT.FSXu1>Can I use the same fix please?Hey John, don't remember where I found this, I think it was here at Avsim...do a search for "b25_fsxacgls.zip"...fixed the problem for me. As to the spinning prop transparency issue, after trying a few different approaches; I copy/pasted the "Prop_DC3.dds" from the default DC3 texture folder into the texture folder of BT...I then deleted "A_spinprop.bmp" after backing it up & then renamed "Prop_DC3.dds" to "A_spinprop.bmp"...I now have 'normal' looking spinning props in/on Briefing Time!...May not be perfect but will do nicely until the team has time to rebuild this great aircraft for us!...You will be 'warned' that changing the dot extension may make the file unusable...ignore it & click on 'do it anyway' (or words to that effect)...and go fly! Will now concentrate on trying to find a way to get my bombadier's view back!...Not sure it's something that can be done from my limited skill level, but will try anyway.Regards,Vance Roberts
