January 1, 200323 yr Hi all,I have problems with my frame rate.I am running: FS2002Pro on: Windows XP Pro (unfortunately) Pentium 4 1.6 ghz 256 DDR ram 32 megs Savage 4 Graphics.I only have two slots for ram. I have to watch my budget am on thin disability pension. (Hardware is expensive in Canada)What would be best: Change video card to 64 megs and add 256 DDR ram at same time? Or:Only add 512 DDR ram (more then double price of 256)but this would mean additional service call later for video card if need be.Also, I was recommended not to install the Windows Service Pack as it does not like Flight Simulator? It would be nice to have it though. Thanks fellow simmers and Happy New YearFlatspin_Fumble
January 1, 200323 yr Well, what sort of frames rates are you getting? Your setup isn't bad the way it is, although a 32 mg video card is a bit low end these days.If your options are upgrading your video card and your RAM at the same time OR just upgrading the RAM, then definitely I would vote for the "package deal" (card and RAM). I can't help you with the WinXP and/or Service Pack dilemma. My game computer is still running Win 98SE! :-rollGood luck.-Lindy :-wave
