June 22, 200718 yr 1. What do the numbers in parentheses in the Players column mean?2. How can I tell if someone will allow me to share their cockpit?3. What should I choose for Starting Location if I want to join another player's cockpit? Thanks,Rego
June 24, 200718 yr Commercial Member Hi Rego, welcome to the awesome (mostly :)) world of fsx multiplayer haha.1. The numbers in parentheses indicate how many slots are reserved in a session for the host's friends.2. The session info should indicate the number of shared aircraft currently in the session, but once you enter a session, if someone has made their aircraft available to share, you will see a "join aircraft" button next to their name at the start screen. If their join button is greyed out then someone is already in with them. Shared seats can also be passworded.3. If you're joining another player's aircraft you don't need to worry about aircraft selection or location, you will be using their data. Keep in mind you have to have the exact same aircraft they do, and not all aircraft can be shared, especially ones with complex gauges like FMCs etc. This includes many fs9 planes. All of the default FSX aircraft are sharable, and most aircraft that strictly use XML gauges, like the RealAir SF260 etc, will work.Hope that helps, good luck. Mike Johnson - Lotus Simulations
