March 23, 200422 yr HI: I justinstalled the CH control manager on my system for use with my CH Yoke & Pedals. My Question is do I have to have the control manager running while using FS2004 for it to have the setting take effect? If I don't start it before using FS the control settings do not seem to take effect. This is my first time using control manager so any help will be appreciated. Thanks....Al
March 23, 200422 yr CM does not need to run while FS is running but if you want FS to use settings that you have mapped in CM, then you need to launch CM, select your map, active your map, and exit CM before starting FS. The map that you have activated will remain in effect until you reboot. If you only have one map and use it every time, then there is a Start program that comes bundled with the CM which will active your map each time Windows restarts. I have not used the Start program because I have several maps, but I read about the Start program in the CM user guide. Check it out. R-
March 24, 200422 yr Hi: I have one other problem which is that no matter what I do I cannot get the control manager &FS2004 settings. If I get most of the setting working then my brakes do no go off an I cannot move. I read the pdf tutorial by CH and did everything it said but no luck. Can anyone using CH yoke with 3 control levers and USB CH Rudder Pedals and WIN XP please possible email me a copy of their C& H control panel file? Also do you combine your 2 controllers (yoke & Pedals) when creating a ch map file using the wizard or do you leave them as 2 separate ones? As you can tell I'm confused...Thanks...Al
March 24, 200422 yr Hi AlYour best bet is to go to the 'CH-Hangar', .. a forum set up specifically for CH Products users. You will find loads of Profiles and Maps for most of the the popular sims. The forum is frequented by the developers of the Control Manager software, ... and readily give expert advice on setting up your controllers. If there is something you 'wish' your CH controllers could do, ... believe me, ... they'll show you how. Here's the link:-http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php?act=idxGood LuckCheersTom
