May 13, 200422 yr I compressed my FS9 folder a few weeks back a have since added scenery, aircraft, gauges, and sounds. Do I have to compress these add-ons before I place them in FS9, or will it automatically compress them when I place them in the FS9 folder? Thanks Regan
May 14, 200422 yr As long as you checked `compress all subfolders` box when you compressed the main FS folder it will compress all the files and folders under it.Easy to check. Compressed folders have their names in blue, uncompressed in black.Allcott
May 14, 200422 yr The "compress all subfolders" box is checked but when I place an add-on into the folder it remains black. I dont know what I could be doing wrong. Thanks for your reply though Allcott.Regan
May 14, 200422 yr You can compress folders individually by right-clicking on the folder, selecting `general` - `advanced` and then checking the option `compress file to save space`Alternatively, you can also compress from the Windows Disk Cleanup menu.Allcott
