hi there,i am no hardware freak, and i run a radeon 9000/64mb.(end of first statement, waiting for thelaughter to settle... ;))Prices got down for better cards, so i'd liketo fly in a "more beautiful" world.Without mentioning exact settings, what will f.ex. a radeon9800 do for me?(p4-2.4, 1GB, agp8 board, Card/FS9 settingsat medium with nice rates on 1024)Thx so far, chris

Hi,:-laugh1 Ok, I'm done laughing now... Just kidding! I really didn't laugh.I don't know that I can say just exactly what it'll do for you. But I would venture to guess that it would do a lot of good! FS9 is still going to look like FS9, but I bet it'd be a more beautiful world with a Radeon 9800 Pro over a Radeon 9000. My vote would be for you to go for it!! Regards,Jim

hi jim,thx for your opinion - what a difference! :)well - for sure - my questions goal was about framerate.flyin' a big add-on jet in good scenery without dropping to4-5 fps at approach in bad weather.i now purchased a decent 9800 and i do get the effect i wanted to have.its much smoother now, and didn't cost to much for me.regardschris

Hi Chris,Well that's great news. I'm glad to hear your are pleased with the decision to get the card. I'm not surprised it has helped with frame rate. I would also think you could turn a few sliders up higher to make FS2004 look 'more beautiful'. ;)Cheers,Jim
