June 8, 200421 yr Recently upgraded from a MSI694T/Celeron 1300 to an Abit NF7/AMD XP2600+M. Video card is a Gainward TI4200 Golden Sample 128Meg. Had to replace my old Soundblaster PCI512 with a Soundblaster Live 5.1 due to gamport conflicts with the mother board. Have 1 gig of PC3200. With the Celeron I mostly got frame rates around 20 and no noticable stutters. With the new system I get frame rates over 35 but the simulation will just stall for 3 to 5 seconds at a time. During the stall there is no hard drive activity. Same thing happen in MS Train Simulator and CFS3. Tried turning off the sound card harware acceleration-no effect. I'm running the lates Nvidia mother board drivers and my video card drivers are Omega 44.03. Any ideas? I'm at a loss right now. my 3D Mark 2001 scores went from around 8500 to 14500 when I upgraded and the benchmarks run smoothly.Regards and thanksBill

June 9, 200421 yr Reinstalled Direct X 9.0b. No help. I did notice that it is also affecting benchmarks. They will stall for 3 or 4 seconds. Changed from Omega drivers to Nvidia 61.12 and lost about 500 points in 3D Mark 2001. I really don't understand what's going on. Thanks Bill
