July 12, 200421 yr I am hoping someone can lend light on might very frustrating issue.I have my desktop setting (hue, sat, bright, color, contrast, etc, set just the way I like. (ATI Radeon 9600 with latest drivers on Win 2000 Pro)However, when I go into FS2K4 all of a sudden the screen goes light as if someone turned the brightness up and the contrast way down.Anyone else have this or explain this?Darryl
July 12, 200421 yr Yeah, I get the same thing. I usually don't do night flights because it is so "washed out".Please Microsoft, add brightness, contrast and gamma controls in the next version.... or .... am I just missing them?
July 12, 200421 yr I don't have this problem in MSFS. I have used a .gamma command in another online flight sim during night flying in order to see the ground. It could be that the settings have changed with the new drivers. You might be able to adjust your desktop resolution to match the ingame settings. FS changes from desktop settings to the game settings and the new video driver might be causing the difference in brightness. I have seen this with changes in the refresh rates. If I switch from 72hz to 85hz in the same resolution the screen gets brighter or darker. If the game just had a gamma adjustment that could be changed :)
