Is there anybody know where I can download directx 8.2. I had to put a new hard drive in my wife computer.

You can probably find it by a search using www.google.com (MS no longer has a download available). But, unless there is a known reason for using 8.2, I'd either stay with DX8.1 or go to DX9. The DX8.2 release was a stop-gap measure to get around a couple of specific problems and never intended for general use. Trip
