Hi All,Have a small problem with sound just cutting out - but only when flying or on ground etc. If I reset it through ALT and sounds, it work for a few seconds, then off again ! ?If I return to menu's within FS9 its fine.Anyone ?Thanks in advance....Eddy

Please post your system specs including sound and chipset drivers. Thanks, Greg

Hi Greg,Thanks for such a quick reply !! :)Have to be honest - the sound is onboard !! AC97 Realtek with Altec Lansing Speakers (never been a problem til today). I built the PC back in March and have got a SBLive 1024 sound card that I could switch. Was never sure wether it was worth switching or not ? What do you think ? Is it better ?Rest of spec is....P4 3.0ghz 800 FSB (1Mb Cache) on Asus P4P8E Deluxe Mobo upto date drivers1.5Gb PC3200DDR GF4 Ti4200 latest driversWinxp Pro SP1 FS9.1Directx 9.0cDoes this help ? Thanks once againBest RegardsEddy

Hi Eddy,Did this problem recently start? If so, you should look at any recent software installs you've made. The first easiest thing to do is make sure that Sound Acceleration is set properly in DirectX. Click on Start>Run> type "dxdiag" (don't include quotes) and wait for the DirectX Diagnostic screen to stabilize. Then click on the "Sound" tab and make sure the acceleration slider is set to "Basic".If that doesn't help you should then disable your joystick in the Windows Devices menu and test fly with just the keyboard. If still no joy I recomend that you then disable the on-board sound and add the Soundblaster. I do not recommend using the Creative drivers as they are terribly bloated. Try these http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1 (though you should study the site carefully before installing the drivers).Hope this helps,Greg

Cheers for your help again,Slider is set to 'full acceleration'Problem did start today after multiple addons installed - it seems to be happening only at St Maarten (addon scenery) Gonna disable etc...Best Wishes !!Eddy
