January 5, 200521 yr I recently installed a new software that uploaded Direct-X 9.X. Now my MSFS2002 has video errors. I cannot see my aircraft in 'Create A Flight' and when I launch, while the panel looks good, the exterior world is messed up.I tried disabling the 3-D and I can se the planes now (although at less quality), so I assume the problem has something to do with the DIRECT-X 3-D and not my video card (NVidia GeForce 5200 w/ current drivers)I have 2 questions.1. Does anyone know a fix?2. How does one remove current DIRECT-X and can it be replaces with older versions? (Note the DIRECT-X web site only has new drivers and doesnt appear to carry older ones)Thanks in advance.GD
January 6, 200521 yr Try reinstalling your video drivers. A good system cleaning using Drivercleaner is also recommended. Drivercleaner is available at Driverheaven.net, but they are offline at this time. Once you are able to install Drivercleaner follow the directions in the Readme precisely. It will do a fine job of cleaning your system.Removing DirectX is not easy, nor is it necessary. It is backward compatible.Good luck,Greg
