MS FS 2004

Featured Replies

I recently purchased microsoft flight sim 2004. I was quite struck that after installing it, it would only perform software rendering and would not detect my Geforce 4 Ti4200 64Meg. As i browsed the config file i only saw older named video cards listed, like TNT and Vodoo. Geforce 2 was the latest vid card i could see on there. I've been browsing forums for 4 days now and have not come to an answer to my problem. I just don't understand how it could not detect my card. I can run Doom3 and Half life 2 but not MS Flight :/Please if anyone could offer me some advice or a good link it would be much appreciated, i feel like i've been searching for ever.My specs:G4Ti4200 64MEGAMD Barton 2800+1Gig OCZ 3200 RAM Nvidia Nforce 2

I can't get the sliders to move either :(

Hi STO, sorry to hear... Any issues with other games? Perhaps try to reinstall your mainboard drivers, DX9.0c and finally your display adapter driver. With that 'old' card of yours, it might be an idea to stick to one of the 45.XX detonators. Ideally, you would install a driver for your monitor too. Maybe do this before you install that of the display adapter. Hope this helps, good luck and kind regards Jaap Sorry for the late reply and welcome to this forum
