use of two monitors for FS2004

Featured Replies

walterinHello FS Pilots.Need your help, on using 2 monitors for FS2004, one to show cockpit and scennery, and the other to show GPS radio stack and controls.I have installed 2 monitors with windows XP home edition. They work OK on transfering documentation or different windows from one monitor to the other, however when I am using FS2004, the only thing I can transfer is the knee board.I would appreciate any input that will help me to transfer, GPS, Radio Stack and the engine quadrants from monitor one to monitor 2.Thank You

This might help: Try undocking the GPS, Radio stack, and Engine Quadrant by right clicking them and selecting "Undock". You should be able to move them at will.

Hi walterin. I see you only have one post here so the moderators won't slap you around...too hard...but this post will be moved to the Hardware Forum as soon as they see it here. (check out the red lettered message at the top of the Forum page.)There are LOTS of posts over there on your exact topic so just do search on Multiple Monitors and/or Dual Monitors. The answers are there. I know, because I asked several of them. But I don't think it is in keeping with the moderator's wishes to answer hardware questions over here.Regards,Jim

Hi walterin,One thing that Ramon (jetBlue 83) didn't mention is that you must be running FS9 in windowed mode when you undock the various subpanels. Then, after you have them located on whichever monitor that you choose, you can hit Alt+Enter to go full-screen if you wish. R-

Hi WalterinHow the heck do you transfer the kneeboard to the second monitor? My one will not move from the primary screen. The GPS, Throttle controls etc. will move across OK, using the method described above (windowed mode, and right click the object you require) but no way can I get the kneeboart to shift. How do you manage it?Thank you in anticipation

walterinI don't know how I did it, but now the Knee Board moves OK.Also Iam able to go back and forth with the Gps, Radio Stack and Engine quadrant with no problem.Thank you for your help.
