May 23, 200521 yr Hello all,So I just bought a custom made FS9 PC and am having some problems with it. I have reformated my hard drive reinstalled windows several time still with no avail, FS9 still is not performing the way it should. I was just wondering if there i a driver that needs to be installed that I'm forgetting about. After installation of windows I install the newest video drivers(Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra), sound drivers(Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ZS), Processor(AMD 64 4000+). Are there other drivers I'm forgetting about, do I have to install anything for the motherboard because I thought that was done automatically(Asus A8V-E Deluxw)? No matter what I do I get impressive frame rates but lots of ground stutters, this is driving me crazy! Any help will be truly appreciated!Mark
May 23, 200521 yr I had no idea you could install processor drivers? You have install MOBO drivers, that would be a big problem right there. The only time MOBO drivers are automatically installed is under 64BIT XP, 32BIT requires you to install MOBO drivers.
May 23, 200521 yr If someone wouldn't mind helping me identify which drivers it is that I need to install for my mobo(Asus A8V-E Deluxe). the disc that come with it contains the following drivers:VIA 4 in 1 DriversVIA IDE/RAID Controller driverMke VIA IDE/RAID Driver DiskMarvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet DriverAsus Wirless LAN adapter Driver and UtilityUSB 2.0 DriverAMD Cool'n' Quiet DriverI do not plan on using onboard sound or wireless so I don't think they need to be installed, what is VIA 4 in 1 and IDE/RAID Controller drivers and do they have to be installed?Mark
May 23, 200521 yr You need to install the latest VIA 4 in 1 drivers. These are drivers for your motherboard. Without them your computer will no operate at it's fullest potential (usually default Microsoft drivers instead).
