What happened to all my memory?

Featured Replies

When running FS Auto-start, it tells me my available memory is only 700-something, yet I have a gig. I have no onboard video, disabled onboard sound, and can't figure out where my memory went? Even shutting down all the processes it still says less memory than I should have. Also when I try to defrag the memory using the FS Auto-start program, FS runs horribly slow and pauses ever other second. I have an AMD fx-55, epox motherboard with latest bios drivers, ati x850xt, 1 gb ddr-4000 ram, windows xp sp2.

You will never have 1GB free. The OS still uses a bit for cache and for the OS programs. Further, there will still some services and programs that need to run before you run Flight Sim.Most of that used memory is probably in use by cache. For further support, please post on my support forum:http://www.kensalter.com/forum
