June 9, 200520 yr Hi,A few days ago I installed flight sim 2004 in a friend's pc (AMD Athlon 64 2800+, 1024mb PC2700, SATA 120GB drive, GeForce FX5200 128MB)... when I created a flight, I configured the grafics almost full... I took off from maiquetia (SVMI) and I noticed that the water textures where in a purple to pink tone with some of light blue, in some places there wasn't any ground texture (trees seemed to be flying (it looked awful), and some textures near the mountains seemed squared and the sea in some cases, reached at least 1 mile through the land. I tried to fix it installing the latest AGP drivers, some oldest versions, reinstalling FS9, testing with different grafics configurations, etc... and i've not found solution.yesterday, I tried to install the sim in another pc, in this case, an AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512Mb RAM PC3200, GeForce MX440 64Mb... and the same problem appeared...I have an AMD Athlon 2600+ (32 bits), an ATI Radeon 9600XT, 512Mb PC3200, and instaling the sim with the same copy, it works fine, the problen seems to be the AMD64 processor or GeForce graphics cards.I don't know what to do, if anybody know if there is any patch to fix it, if anybody know how to repair or if anyone haves the same problem, please reply here or send me an email to [email protected]. I couldn't post a screenshot to show you how it looked but I will take it and post it.
June 9, 200520 yr Its the video cards, both the MX440 and FX5200 are no good for FS at all, your 9600XT though, will perform much better with a Athlon64.
