July 30, 200520 yr I have a (probably a stupid one) problem in fs9 with the throttle axis.Normally, I use the PFC digital throttle quadrant for all my fixed-wind flying and that's working just fine. But, from time to time, I would like to fly with a helo and there troubles begin.I own a saitek X45 hotas combination and that worked fine before I made a major upgrade to my pc. Since then I can't get a stable throttle setting anymore. I mean, throttle is working and responding to the setting of the handle but I can't keep it there. The throttle (not the actual handle but the throttlesetting) always falls back to zero. I thought my saitek was defect but another stick (cheaper but brandnew) has the same trouble. It only happens in Flightsimulator because outside the program both sticks work just fine. It's not the aircraft either because also the default aircraft like the cessna or the baron are affected. I have have tried all the available usb ports too just in case but that has no effect whatsoever.AMD 4000+ with 2 Gb ramMb is a MSI K8N neo 4Graphics are supplied by a MSI NX6800 ultraand sound by a Creative 5.1 liveI'm running quite some addon's too, including fsuipc, but I can't see a scenery or aircraft addon mess with the usb settings of Flightsimulator. All suggestions are welcome here. Thanks in advanceLuc 'glaudrung' BrusselmansBelgium
August 20, 200520 yr Hi Luc, I have had exactly the same symptoms. If your in-game sound settings are set to "high" turn them to "medium". This resolved the problem for default as well as 3rd party aircraft.
August 21, 200520 yr Hi again Luc, forget what I said re:sound settings:> It was a two cent solution. I disconnected and reconnected the joystick, both at the joystick connector as well as the USB port. Seems that connections do get dirt/dust in them:>.....cheers.
