Saitek X52 Joystick

Featured Replies

New Saitek Cyborg X52 installed. With aircraft lined up for takeoff - Normal or rapid opening of throttle normally causes aircraft to veer sharply to right.Almost inpossible to control swing on the ground with rudder (joystick twist control)All settings /calibration appear OK Extremely gentle opening of throttle provides some solution to the problemHelp!

What are your FS9 realism settings set at? It may be the torque effect, and no relation to your joystick.Keith

HiI have the X52 and experience the same wild movement to the left and right during acceleration on takeoff. Its due to torque as power is applied and apparently a normal reaction of the aircraft in this situation. You can get rid of this by selecting AutoRudder (I think thats what its called) in Realism settingsI would like to get some rudder pedals at some point as I think controlling the rudder would be easier than the twist stick method. If you know of any let me know :)Karl

Thanks GuysProblem solved! Realism Settings: Autorudder "ON" and Torque setting backed off towards "Easy"Appreciate the helpRegards Roy

I use the Saitek X52 joystick with medium realism settings and autorudder off. Under Joystick Calibration / Properties add a bit of deadzone to X Axis, Y Axis and Twist. This prevents movement of the aircraft flight control surfaces from tiny input signal fluctuations.
